Internet, the Net has generated tremendous interest in all areas of our society. Its use for educational purposes is a field open to reflection and research. This essay explores some of its possibilities, especially as a means of teaching and learning technology open, dynamic and flexible, and describes some characteristics of virtual learning environments, whose main objective is to integrate ICT into curriculum teaching and learning process .
In particular, education online, commonly known as "virtual education" has sought since its inception, telematics applications implemented using the communication quality of classroom training in distance education, mediated by technology and therefore by pedagogy. All this relationship between technology and pedagogy, has set new ways of teaching and learning, adding new roles in the educational actors and new dynamics in them. Therefore virtual classrooms are the way to integrate the learning effects of actual classroom contexts in which it is not physically possible to bring together participants in the process of teaching and learning. Clearly the type of education that more can benefit from this technology is e-learning.
This process characterizes the teaching and learning, as a piper school construction and collaborative among its actors, who with their roles defined in the virtual mode, take the process as a learning to learn, all propelled by the active learning and teaching strategies that it offers, when to use ICT in education.

These innovations allow the generation of joint activities between students and teachers become collaborative support processes, allowing a certain extent a guarantee in the construction of knowledge with meaning and sense.

This tension between the possibilities and limitations are inherent in all human action and special education, virtual education is thought to open questions on issues that do not have sole and final decision.
